Our take
This is the same 1,200-page cartridge that comes in the box with the HL-L2400DW, L2445DW and L2460DW. It's genuine, it just works, and there's nothing wrong with it — but at roughly £48 for 1,200 pages you're paying about 4p a page. The TN-2510XL holds 2.5× the toner for under double the price, so anyone printing regularly should skip straight to that.
Buy the standard TN-2510 if you print a few dozen pages a month and want the smallest cash outlay each time, or if you want a genuine spare on the shelf without spending £90.

Genuine vs compatible — which should you buy?
Genuine cartridges cost more per page but carry the maker's warranty, hit the quoted page yield reliably, and never trip firmware "unrecognised cartridge" blocks.
Compatible (third-party) cartridges are typically 40–70% cheaper. Quality is fine from reputable sellers, but yields are optimistic, colour accuracy varies, and some brands (HP with HP+ in particular) actively block them. For a mono laser printing text, compatibles are usually the sensible buy; for colour or warranty-critical kit, stay genuine.
