Best Inkjet All-in-One Printer UK 2026 — Home Office Picks
By Seb Clark, Editor, UniDoc Solutions·Updated
Inkjet all-in-ones are home-office workhorses — print, scan, copy, sometimes fax. The big choice in 2026 is between cartridge-and-subscription HP OfficeJet Pros (cheap upfront, ongoing ink commitment) and refillable Epson EcoTanks (more upfront, much cheaper long-term).
If you're not already locked into HP Instant Ink, read our EcoTank guide first — the math usually favours EcoTank within a year.
At a glance — the shortlist
| # | Model | Best for | Speed | Price band | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e | Best with Instant Ink | 22 ppm mono / 18 ppm colour | £170-£230 | Amazon |
| 2 | HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e | Same as 9120e plus fax | 22/18 ppm | £190-£250 | Amazon |
| 3 | HP OfficeJet Pro 9132e | Best for mixed paper sizes | 22/18 ppm | £260-£330 | Amazon |
| 4 | HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e (A3) | Best for occasional A3 | 25/20 ppm | £440-£550 | Amazon |
HP · 22 ppm mono / 18 ppm colour · £170-£230
Best with Instant Ink
£170-230 for a capable home-office MFP — 22 ppm mono / 18 ppm colour, 35-sheet ADF, auto duplex print and scan. 3 months Instant Ink free.
Only buy this with Instant Ink active. Cartridge prices without the subscription are punishing. With Instant Ink at £3.49+/month it's a fair deal.
HP · 22/18 ppm · £190-£250
Same as 9120e plus fax
£190-250. Same machine as the 9120e with a fax module added. Most users don't need fax in 2026 — but if you do (some legal, healthcare and council work still requires it), this is your option.
HP · 22/18 ppm · £260-£330
Best for mixed paper sizes
£260-330. Adds a second paper tray over the 9125e — load A4 in one and letterhead or labels in the other and stop swapping. Worth the £70 if you print on multiple paper types.
HP · 25/20 ppm · £440-£550
Best for occasional A3
£440-550 — much cheaper than a dedicated A3 laser MFP if you only need A3 sometimes. 25 ppm mono, two trays, ADF + duplex. Useful for plans, posters, marketing collateral.
The HP Instant Ink question
Almost every HP OfficeJet Pro in this guide is priced around the assumption you'll subscribe to Instant Ink. The free 3-month trial is genuinely free — but cancel before it auto-renews if you don't print enough to justify the lowest tier (£3.49/month for 100 pages).
The honest reality: if you print more than ~50 colour pages a month, an EcoTank costs less over 2 years. If you print less than 50 pages a month, an OfficeJet Pro + Instant Ink works out cheaper because EcoTank ink eventually goes off. Match the printer to your actual volume.
