Which should you buy?
Brother's 2400-series shares one engine and one toner (TN-2510 / TN-2510XL), so print quality and running costs are identical. The L2460DW adds an Ethernet port, nudges the speed from 30 to 34 pages a minute, and supports Brother's Mobile Connect app features slightly more fully. That's the whole list.
For a home office on Wi-Fi the L2400DW is the better buy — the speed difference is imperceptible on a ten-page job. Choose the L2460DW if the printer will sit next to a router or switch and you want it hard-wired (more reliable for shared office use), or if you've had Wi-Fi printer headaches before.
