About UniDoc Solutions

UniDoc Solutions is an independent UK reference site for office document hardware — document scanners, mono and colour laser printers, multifunction printers and refillable ink‑tank machines — written for buyers who want a plain‑English answer rather than a marketing pitch.

Who runs this site

UniDoc Solutions is operated by CentraServe Ltd, an independent UK web publisher based in England. Editorial decisions are made by Seb Clark (founder, CentraServe Ltd), reachable at [email protected] or via the contact form.

What we publish

The site has two parts. Our buyer’s guides are short, opinionated shortlists of the current hardware we’d recommend to a UK buyer in 2026, organised by use case (best A4 document scanner, best mono laser for small office, best EcoTank, etc.). The products directory is a reference catalogue of individual model pages with specifications and Amazon UK availability information.

The catalogue includes a body of historical model entries compiled from publicly available manufacturer specifications and earlier independent reporting on UK office equipment. We mark these “reference” pages where the model is no longer actively sold, and we link them through to the current buyer’s guide for their category so visitors can find a relevant replacement.

Editorial standards

Our buyer’s guides are based on a combination of (1) current Amazon UK listings, customer review sentiment and stock availability; (2) published manufacturer specifications; (3) cross‑referenced reporting from established UK technology publications and trade press. We do not currently conduct independent in‑house hardware testing — where a guide says “best for X”, we mean “based on the published evidence and our reading of the UK market, this is the model most likely to suit the buyer described”, not “we measured this in a lab”. We will be clear about this on every guide page.

Our recommendations are intended to be honest. Where a popular model isn’t a good buy, we say so. Where a product has serious caveats (lock‑in subscriptions, dry‑cartridge risk, third‑party supply problems), we say so.

How we make money

UniDoc Solutions earns through the Amazon Associates Programme (the “Buy on Amazon UK” buttons on our pages contain an affiliate tag unidocs-21). When a visitor clicks one of those buttons and then buys an item on Amazon within the usual cookie window, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to the visitor. Commissions do not influence our recommendations or rankings — we don’t accept payment from manufacturers for placement, and we link to products that compete with each other within every category.

We may also display contextual advertising via Google AdSense in the future. Ad placements do not influence editorial content.
