Canon’s first ever inkjet production photo printer provides the new alternative to conventional silver halide technology, delivering a wide range of premium photo merchandise.
In addition to CMYK, DreamLabo 5000 employs photo cyan, photo magenta and grey dye-based inks to reproduce wider ranging shades and achieve more precise colour control. These seven dye-based inks deliver colour and B&W photos with extra smooth gradations. Thanks to grey ink, stable colour reproduction and less colour cast can be realised. DreamLabo 5000 features automatic double-sided printing, which is especially convenient when printing photo albums and on-demand two-sided documents. It can print approximately 1,000 A4 pages an hour. Thanks to double-sided printing, the manual process of pasting pages together can finally be relegated to the past.
